What RecapYear is
A self-serve tool that turns a CSV of your own product stats into personalised year-in-review cards (“recaps”) with a shareable link for each user, in the spirit of a year-in-review campaign.
What it is not
- It does not connect to, monitor, or read your product, database or analytics account — you supply the CSV.
- It does not send anything to your users. You decide what to share and how.
- It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Spotify or any other company’s year-in-review campaign.
Free and Pro
The free tier builds and previews real recaps, carrying a small RecapYear mark. Pro exports the share links for every row of your CSV at once, removes the RecapYear mark, and applies your brand colour.
Pro is a yearly subscription. The price and the billing period are shown before you pay. Unless you cancel, it renews automatically once a year at the same price, and we take payment on the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from the customer portal linked in your purchase receipt, or by emailing us; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for. If we ever change the renewal price, we will tell you before it takes effect and you can cancel first.
Your licence key
A Pro key is issued for your own use with RecapYear. Don’t resell or publish it. We may disable a key that is shared publicly or used to abuse the service.
Payments
Payments are handled by Polar as Merchant of Record (the seller of record), which handles billing and applicable taxes. Your purchase is also subject to Polar’s terms.
Acceptable use
Don’t upload data you have no right to use, upload special-category or sensitive personal data, use the cards to harass or expose anyone, overload the service, or use it unlawfully. We may rate-limit or block abusive use.
Your content
You keep all rights to the data you upload and to the recaps you generate. We process your CSV only to produce your cards and links and then discard it (see our Privacy Policy). Where it contains third-party personal data, you confirm you have lawful authority to use it, and we act as your processor solely to generate the output you requested.
Availability
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Share links are self-contained, so a recap keeps working as long as the site is online.
Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid, and we are not liable for losses arising from how you use the recaps or share links you generate. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Refunds and governing law
See our Refund Policy. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
